Hi,
My first post as I have just joined having purchased a R4 GTL. She is a 1987 car first registered in Guernsey and I bought from the original owner 62K miles. All seems fine and have got running pretty easily after standing for the last year or so. Body is great externaly and floor pan, however needs chassis work at the front where the tie rod attaches and front crosspiece between chassis legs. Advice on where if anywhere I can buy chassis repair sections please.
I am in Somerset incidentaly anyone here with a R4?
Dave

Thanks,
Perfect picture and spot on with the front panel car also has serious rot in fact broken at the chassis rail just prior to this cross panel top part only O/S ( left hand as you look at picture).
Crazy thing is lower part of this chassis rail and rest of car is all good. All help welcome
Dave

That is the side where the mainbrake cilinder is situated.
The top of the front subframe usually has some rot from brake fluid spillage.

Unfortunately there have never been any replacement parts for the top. and neither for the front crossmember except for the Napoleon's hat
Both the lower parts of the front crossmember have been available as a replacement part.

If you want to replace any part of this you wil have to make it yourself.
