I didn't know there was anyone so close by! I fitted an aftermarket 12V electric pump, can't help you with a manual one. But you're welcome to come by and see if there is anything you'd like to remove?

The boot floor mat is very worn out. It has shrunk and no longer fits on the retaining pegs. These belt reels don't have covers. But you can have the reels. The reversing lights are here, and retrofitted with LEDs. The bonnet safety wires are just bits of bike brake cable bolted on. You...

    Scrapping French car in UK

Hello Brian, good to hear from you. We're well but yes sadly I have neglected this car for many years and this is the inevitable result. I did have a lot of fun with it back in the day!

The suspension arms are fine, the pins into the bushes are intact. I also appear to have a pair of new bushes Franzose part number 83030. Near Morecambe, Lancashire. I have one door pocket, rather battered around the fixing holes. Very dirty but undamaged. Would clean up lovely with a good...

The rear axle should be salvageable. It's the cast type. Luckily for you, it was already dismantled and stored under cover for the last few years so it's less rusty than the rest. Those are available. I'll take some photos tomorrow.

    Shock horror

Yes thanks for that Pepper, it worked out much cheaper than new shocks, since apart from the rubbers they were still in good condition. I've got some phosphoric acid as a rust treatment, but never used it before so I'm not quite sure what to expect. I just want to kill any rust around the...

    Shock horror

I have replaced the failed bushes with fancy polyurethane ones from SuperFlex. I used methyl ethyl ketone to extract and reuse the steel crush tube that was bonded into the old rubber bush, and reassembled with big washers as per the original design. Unfortunately the shock absorber wasn't the...

    Sheared wheel stud

Thanks harbourseal, I'll send you a private message. It pressed out quite easily using a G-clamp and a large socket, and smacking the back of the clamp on the floor to give an extra push.

    Sheared wheel stud

Phew, I'll try knocking it out tomorrow. Are the studs easy to find at a motor factors or will I need to order from der Franzose? I'm rather afraid I might have ruined a set of brake shoes whilst getting the drum off, too. Everything's going wrong today.
