I am having a towbar fitted to my R4 and my question is what weights can one tow with an R4 ? ... indeed should one tow with an R4 ? I have just sold a towbar. The person I bought it from only ever used it as a rear bull bar to protect the car. THOUGHTS WELCOME : ))

Amazing !! I hope my claims about the chassis were correct. My 2CV mechanic in ipswich* replaced some of the rear pipes. His methods were quite rudimentary. Are you planning to redo the pipes while the chassis is off ? *did I send you his service history ? PS ... might be worth replacing shocks...

I miss Renault IVth ... but she's definitely gone to the right person. I bought the tailgate in Holland from Ruud Wind in January this year (as penance for dinging it). He has since retired but sold his stock of spares to www.kihon.nl. The first generation Renault Twingo sunroof fits the Renault...

Hi Beej - The IVth is MOT'd until November / December. It will easily pass another (it runs fine). Simon hasn't seen this one in the metal but has looked at the pics in this post. He is renovating my other R4 and his comments are that having a good chassis can save £3-4k in renovation costs...
