    Currently on sale on Facebook

I also watched this program, I think that their 2K costs were being optomistic with the truth and "tarting it up" pretty much hit the nail on the head. I think the K the "bidder" paid ( yes I also think it`s suspicious that it`s not been registered and driven) was a bargain, but not at all sure...

    Car security

Richard I agree entirely with Cornish. I have had a moggy & an open top 2 seater 2CV based kit car. Krooklock is a good visual deterrent for the chancer, Discarnect is again good for extended periods, and I fitted a third device. On the moggy this was re purposing the speedometer backlight off...

Renault 4 or f4 van wanted

hello Bobble & seasons greetings don`t mind the paint job, 850 engine goes against it, but I would leave it in, see how it tows and go from there. Yes I am interested, have you any pictures you could send me, and do you have an idea of how much you would like for it please? Currently have the...

Renault 4 or f4 van wanted

Richard, thanks for the heads up. It`s an 850, and a bit of a project, both of which go against it, but it ticks a lot of boxes. Not sure if it`s worth the sort of money he is asking ( certainly would`nt add 1k just for the Mot and registering), but it`s food for thought cheers swampy

Renault 4 or f4 van wanted

at this time, no thanks: it`s an f6 and its a project. I still have the merc off the road, and an f6 would be a third choice after f4 then car. If I haven't found what I want later next year then I might consider it, but by then you will have sold that one. Thanks for thinking of me anyway swampy

Renault 4 or f4 van wanted

Seasons greetings. I am starting looking for a Renault 4, preferably an F4 van with windows, but I would consider a car dependent on it`s condition. I do not want a "minter", I have dogs and I will use it too much to do it justice. On the other hand I do not want a restoration project; I already...

    rear floor area dimensions

thanks for the advice, away for the weekend now. I will trawl internet on specs and generally "bone up" a bit evenings next week then put a wanted ad in. for me an f4 van is best, but she has to like it as well or it`s one long uphill struggle, so it might be a compromise. Time will tell...

    rear floor area dimensions

jesus you have got 2 touring bikes in there! LOADS of room. Will check overall dimensions against my garage, though I am sure that I don`t need that much space, so a late lhd f4 might be best. I will weigh it up over a few beers this weekend. cheers swampy

    rear floor area dimensions

Andy, thanks for your help- I have saved the data page. the van does seem like a sensible option, if i get a car the back seat will be permanently folded, or more likely in my loft, and I would probably make some sort of load area lining due to the dogs claws and mud. I now know ( if I have got...

    rear floor area dimensions

hi, yes, interested in the van, but know nothing about them, like what is the difference between an f4 and an f6, whether they use standard car engines or have low compression heads, whether they have car difs or low ratio items to cope with the load, do those useful giraffe roofs turn out to...

    rear floor area dimensions

Andy, thanks, that sounds good. I won`t be lifting her, she is 31 kg and has spine, hip and knee problems, and I have a dodgy back, but I do have a nice big folding ramp. Cheers swampy

    rear floor area dimensions

hi, as someone who has never owned a 4, could someone tell me please, do the rear seats fold down flat on post 73 4`s, and if so what is length of the area created from the tailgate? Also what is the internal width between the rear wheel arches, and is the boot lip height actually 52cm as...

richard thanks I have read your posts and see you have minor teething issues , I am going back monday for another look. It`s in a gloomy warehouse, crowded by other cars and you are not allowed the keys. I still have to work out how to open the bonnet- there is a knob on a long wire sicking out...

yes I am retiring next month, and this will be my prezzy. I have played dyane and lomax 223 in the distant past, but not R4. read clementines buyers guide and did`nt see anything on it that frightened me ( except possible price- not impressed with people who buy for investment, we had the same...
