    Driving in snow

We drive in snow a fair bit. The Quatrelle is certainly better than the Ami 8 which just doesn't have enough weight over the front wheels. I 'm a big fan of snow socks which are can be on in thirty seconds if I 'm swithering over the necessity of faffing about with chains. Good quality chains...

A GALLERY OF GORGEOUS - please contribute !

Ok, slightly left field here but what a thing of small delights is the machined metal cylinder that helps to hold the steering rack and pinion closely meshed Replaced with a utilitarian bit of plastic on later racks but this is NICE!

    Catalytic converter for a R4?

I'm with Adam Wilkes on the prolonged set up process for the Gunson but another plus for the Gunson is at a flick of the switch it gives a lovely big clear rpm readout and as it sits firmly on its own four feet in plain view I use it frequently for other fettling exercises. Mine came with...

    Intermittant Indicators

Well now but intermittant faults are a tad frustrating to nail down are they not. Big thanks to jjad of this parish for comming up trumps with the relevant wiring diagram. Sadly I've not been able to put a full shift today as the house roof has started to leak and a tempest's worth of rain is...

    Intermittant Indicators

Good evening all, Car is an Oct 77 R4TL , lhd, (type 1126 with 839 engine) and I'm in the early stages of trying to trace why my indicators are becoming worryingly unreliable. Funny thing is the hazards do work with impressive relaibility and vigour. I only have the haynes manual for cars...

    New Roadworthy Rules

Mellissa speaks of (snipping) <<I'm getting mine on historic soon as she's jumped through this hoop! >>(snipped) but I've always regretted doing this on our Acadiane as it meant loosing the department specific registration plate with a pleasing array of sixes for one of the bland modern plates...

Brand new chinese Solex 32DIS / Zenith 28IF

Had a Chinese copy carb on our Ami 8 for five or six years now. It's been a beaut. But it came via a reputable source, in this case ECAS, who set it up before dispatch and changed jets to suit.
