Barn find

Have just been to see this little beauty. She's been sitting in a barn near me in France for 2 years. Before she was parked up, she'd only been used on dry days and always garaged. She's a 1981 4L and in amazing, solid condition. No rust can be found anywhere on her. She's covered just over 50,000 km in her 34 years. I'm waiting to hear back from the owner on a price and then need to see if she'll start (flat battery). Hope to report more soon!

I haven't seen the carte gris yet (registration doc), so not 100% sure on what year it is - the person with the keys (who is looking after it for the owner) said it was 1981 - but it has the black grill and the 1970s dashboard. It has external door hinges (which I think lasted until 1982?) and the post-1977 indicator lights. Does 1981 sound right?

Love the colour don't think it was available UK
Very difficult to put a value on as people think tatty example worth fortunes now
