It is unusual in that despite its age the vehicle is very sound. Since buying it off a neighbour 18 months ago I have invested over £2k in extensive mechanicals, a new exhaust, waxoyl injections and general bodywork repair (the odd hole in the floor). The car mechanic I used was Le Garagiste in Ipswich - Tony is expert with 2CVs and R4s (he had all the original manuals). The car is in the queue for a rebuild at Renault Reborn later in the year (which I would recommend). Asking price is £3k. I will upload further pictures. I want this car to go to a good home and for it to be restored at is one of the last original Right Hand Drives.

Good luck with your sale. I hope "she" settles-down in her new home.
Interesting remark - "one of the last original RHDs".
Does anyone know how many are actually alive & well?

Have you had a quote from Renault Reborn of what is needed to be done?
Is the IVth currently running and mot'd?
Is the waxoyle treatment guaranteed?

Hi Beej - The IVth is MOT'd until November / December. It will easily pass another (it runs fine). Simon hasn't seen this one in the metal but has looked at the pics in this post. He is renovating my other R4 and his comments are that having a good chassis can save £3-4k in renovation costs (which is how I am basing my price). He would strip back the vehicle and replace key parts to life extend such as shocks / mounts / clutch / wings / fenders etc - I don't want to be indiscreet about his costs so would suggest you call me on 07711747334. You would have to budget an extra say £800 to fit a decent sunroof. My mechanic who is a 2CV specialist injected the chassis. If Simon does it he will do it again as he knows the nooks and crannies.
