Recent R4's in France

I have one restored car (4L) and one workhorse (F4). I like driving the F4 more than the 4L but it's annual test is always a worry. I keep thinking I might need to restore the F4 at some point, but it passed it's test last week so I'm good for another year. The tester didn't notice the rear suspension is close to falling off.

The danger of doing a full restoration is you end up treating the car as a classic instead of a workhorse. That's why I prefer the F4.

Hi folks, I think after a vehicle has been restored it's possible to become rather precious about it, even afraid to do the shopping run in it. Don't get me wrong, I love to see nice shiny stuff at shows, but for me a good and obviously used and loved example is far better. For me barn finds are best, solid and structurally sound, but have that lovely patina. All that "history " which is lost in a restoration. Just my view, for what it's worth.
