geoffrey.jpg A friend of mine has found me an early 4 in France. The trouble is I have nowhere to keep it. Round here garages to rent are as rare as hen's teeth so no good there. I have always wanted a 6v bench seat model but now I find I can't have it unless I sell "Geoffrey" I am not keen to sell but if anyone out there wants a get in and drive car this could be it. The body and chassis are solid with the added advantage of being professionally waxoyled complete with 3 year warranty as from June this year. New seat covers have been fitted and I must say my 6 hour drive to the Lake District was very comfortable. There are no oil leaks from the engine or gearbox and no untoward noises either. Geoffrey is not perfect but who is? I keep Geoffrey under a breathable cover and usually only go out when it is dry. I have put a mph speedometer in and have the original km/h one. All together I guess we are round about the 100k miles
Now we come to it. The price. £4750 which is less than I have in it but there we are.
I know these details are here to give a flavour of what is on offer and anyone seriously interested will ask for specific photographs etc. You can email me at w10053athotmail.co.uk geoffrey.jpg View attachment 18425 View attachment 18426 IMG_20160125_110122[1].jpg

Hi I have the same as yours but I need new seats, did you buy the covers or seats as one unit.
Thanks

The seat covers came from Der Franzose. I replaced some of the seat springs and repaired the metalwork at the back. Where the springing at the back had worked its way into the foam I reinforced it with a thin sheet of foam to bring the seat up to the correct level. Making the seat springs was time consuming. I bought a roll of the wiggly bit and made them from that.IMG_20170602_171107[1].jpg

The purchase of the car I was interested in buying from France has fallen through so I am going to keep hold of Geoffrey for now. I have entered it into a classic car show at Ripon Race Course on the 27th August so will be keeping it until then at least.
