Could anybody please help with a question I have on the steering rack of my 1992 r4. I bought a second hand steering rack which I was told had been refurbished for a very good price but stupid me did not think about the handing of the car. The car I have is left hand but the rack is different to mine and I assume is therefore right hand.
The rack has what look to be new parts and I would like to swap as many over as possible.
The problem I have is how to remove the end arm from the rack itself, I have unscrewed the rack ends but cannot easily see how the knuckle joint arm is removed.
Also does anybody know if its just the main casting that is handed and can the other parts transfer
