I have collected the frameset last Saturday.
It is super lightweight for a steel frameset. Just under 2,5kg.
Upon arrival at home, I started building it up with the parts that I have from the previous bike.
And yesterday I made my first ride.

And this is the result for now. Including Covid-19 hair-do.
It does need some fine tuning and I need to make an alteration to the rear carrier.
Fortunately the carrier is steel as well so I can weld on some longer brackets to make it fit.

Tiding up is always good for clearing head! At least to me.

Nice looking gates Malcolm.

Today opened Lidl PARKSIDE hamerdrill that started to rattle.

It did not lose hamering powder but it filled like engine is not centered any more.

All bearing parts.

It is standard 12/28x8 bearing closed on both sides.
Same one goes into R4GTL ISKRA and VALEO alternator.
Have to go tomorrow to buy one and put all back together

I've been doing the foundations for the garden wall. Got a digger in to dig the hole, and a concrete truck to make the concrete. You would think I wouldn't be sore all over but I think I've worn myself out.

Doing a little on the van too. Suspension is loosely assembled with lots of shiny new parts ready to go onto the chassis.

Needs bumper, two tyres, indicator, wing was dinged while sitting, fully optioned with no danger lights up on dash, purrs or grows nice, licence points winner.

As I wrote on my restoration topic our beloved English Bull Terrier Sam died suddenly last november 2020 at the age of 11 and a half years.
Now I proudly announce our new fury housefriend named Quaestor Red Rebel and we call him Bert.
A new project has started and that is raising him as Bert is again an English Bull Terrier.
Meet Bert and follow his adventures on https://forti-molli.com/bert/
First picture Bert 8 weeks, second picture Bert 12 weeks.

My wall is growing slowly. I've been watering it :-) I thought I would be able to lay 100 bricks a day but it turns out I'm a little slower so 3000 bricks will take a while. The stretchers are from the original 200 year old wall just turned around to hide the badly spalled face. They look quite neat given their poor condition

Malcolm, that looks great, its a shame you don't live a bit closer. I need a wall doing

That looks fabulous Malcolm. I keep up to date with your Salutation page and am always inspired by the range of projects you do so well.

In other projects: I finished my PhD in biology this April.
I'm replacing piston and barrel on my MZ ETZ 250
I'm messing around with finding parts for my Hercules W2000 wankel "gift-bike"
I'm converting my 2000sqm garden to a thing of wilderness
I'm beginning the outer restoration of my cottage from 1850 (mostly masonry and wooden beams), lots of paint, tar, and lime!
I'm tearing down and rebuilding a shed/outhouse to be a combination of: Workshop, guest room, orangerie, and more. It's going to be made in wood, but with reinforced concrete segments in the floor for my motorcycles.
I'm rebuilding my garage for direct access to the new outhouse, maybe I'll isolate the garage and throw in some windows and a gate.
My other, thatched outhouse will be remade internally with supporting beams, and then a "house inside the house" setup. This will then be a two-room guest house.

Workwise I'll continue flying drones, mapping nature, teaching and developing a new biology candidate education, now as a post-doc.
