Mines done 243,000km they get better with age

Had the same on mine I replaced the points and condenser and all good again. I did service the carb before this and it didn't solve the problem

I purchased pipe from my local motor factor shop only about £5

I've managed to locate and purchase a radio housing unit for my Renault 4, the car might of had one of these units installed in the past as I can see that the side screws have been used Quick questions These is a screw hole at the top of the unit, does it really screw into the heater housing...

Thanks Andy, Brian Whiteside has sorted me out with a set, I've got the internal adjustment type, watch this space, see if I can solve the problem...

So I rebuilt the carb, fully cleaned all the jets, new fuel pipe and filter and it still runs rough, checked all the plugs and they look OK, I gave them a clean and it still runs badly, checked the points and they don't look the best, I undid the disi and moved it slowly to see if this helped it...

I've ordered a full service kit for the carb including all new gaskets, new fuel hose and clips, fuel filter and once running I'm going to change the oil as well.

Carb gasket and bits should be here this week, purchased new high quality fuel lines today so fingers crossed its running by the weekend

Had a great day out in my R4, half a mile from home I lost all power and it struggled to make it home, limped it back and suspect the carb is at fault as noticed the fuel filter was full and not passing fuel into the carb, I opened up the carb and noticed the bowl full of fuel but looked gritty...
