1.1 engine on 1986 TL? will it fit?

Hi everyone! Just want to know is it possible to change 850cc engine from 1986 Renault 4 TL on bigger engine like 1.1 without major surgery? does it means that gearbox have to be changed or clutch? Thank you

It will fit. But you need to change the gearbox, the radiator, the brackets for the engine silent-blocks. And the cross member that sits over the gearbox.

While you are at it, it’s advisable to change the clutch assembly.
