Hello from Lancashire.

I am new to the forum but have followed with interest some of the posts and articles. This is obviously the place to come if your R4 needs help!!!

That said, here goes on my first and probaly not last bid for help or advise.

I am looking for the peice of rubber hose connecting the filler cap tube to the petrol tank. Mine has perished and split making visits to petrol station very expensive! If anyone has a spare please let me know. The car is a 1967 848cc.

Yours Hopefully

Seems the pipe on the earlier cars is quite long and includes the sharp bend towards the tank. Later cars have an extended inlet pipe welded to the petrol tank that includes the kink and hence have a small straight flexy.

If you get stuck then Milner Off Road (Derby I think) have pre-bent stainless steel pipes that you might be able to use for the bend, and use straight sections of flexy tube to connect to the tank and filler tube.

Hi Clementine

Thanks for the advise. I will still hope somebody has a genuine hose but this is certainly an option failing that.

Thanks
