Back seat "chattering"

Hi all ,
Just wondered if anyone has any cures for a "chattering" rear seat, ? Its the knurled bolts that hold the backrest in place, even when they are tight , on the move, they chatter, rattle and squeak , any ideas please?

With my back sear it was the feet that sit in slots on the vertical face of the floor that rattled. Thin hardwood wedges solved it

I used to drive a Volkswagen beetle and also had the chattering backseat syndrome.

Turned out it was my mother in law giving me driving lessons

This will sound silly but are you sure it is the back seat. I have had similar issues and it turned out to be something else. Try a run with the seat out to definitely confirm.

Have you looked at the rear door (tailgate) lock. That can vibrate on the little bar (hasp?) where it locks on to.

I thought my rear seat was rattling, turned out to be the tailgate stay.
