Hello My zenith 28 if is giving me problems, so I believe it's time to replace it for something better, but like always my first step is to come here asking your advises.
So I am thinking of getting a zenith 32 if7 but I don't know if this is the best option for me My car is an 1991 gtl with 688 D7/12 engine

Hello Fernando, a bigger carb (32mm instead of 28mm) also needs another manifold with the 32mm carb fitting.
I've the same engine (688D7/12) and Zenith 28IF in my GTL and never had any problems.
Most common issues are that somewhere false air is sucked in, a wrong positive valve setting or that the carb bottom is crooked by overthightening the nuts.
There is a lot to find about carb issues on this forum, just use the search option.
Regards, Joop

my mechanic told me that the carb is droping gas in low rpm when he shouldnt
and when im driving in low rpm the car shakes
I can replace it for brand new zenith 28if
but if Im going to change it why not do it for something better
