DRK Three-wheeler

I am a new owner of Renault 4-based DRK Three wheeler Special.
No doubt I will have lots of questions for Renault 4 owners as I restore the car :)

Hi... strangely enough I have also this week purchased a DRK - I assume R6 based as it's got front discs and a 1108cc engine
It's not been used for a few years so will need some work to get it running again.
First things to sort will be fluids, filters, gear change linkage, and finally the rear brake which appears to lock on when pushed forward!
 
I have finished restoring mine so feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
 
Perhaps a bit unusual but my DRK doesn't have a "proper" speedo.
Instead I have what appears to be a bicycle speedo.
It seems to work OK and as far as I know there is no check required for this for passing the MOT test.
 
@chacha / @DSW - do your DRKs have a fuel gauge fitted?
I just have a dipstick (not Rodney Trotter!).
I don't know if the fuel tank has a sender unit and it's just not connected.

Congratulations on purchasing your DRK. We also have one and have set up a Facebook group , hopefully to share tips , fixes etc . It’d be great if you’d join . It’s called DRK Owners . Cheers , Paul

@DSW did you get the speedo sorted?
I recently got a Triumph Spitfire one off Ebay that I'm intending to get Speedy Cables (Swansea) to modify to work with the Renault gearbox.
My car, on a Q plate, passed the MOT with no issues using the bicycle speedo.
