Hi I'm dave a proud owner of a super 5 gtx I also have a laguna but enough of that car the 5 is a 1988 gtx witha 16v engine all the work has been done by myself and a select group of mates aprox 1 other :lol:
I am a telecom's engineer by trade. :lol: so thats me oh yeah the car is used for sprints hillclimbs and track days when funds permit.

I had a look around retro renault and nicked one of your photos (below).

That's a serious Renault 5. Where did the engine come from? (I didn't have enough of a look to find out).

it came from a 91 r19 16v this engine has a major oil leak so this one is going to be rebuilt, by me. but I have just got another engine and that will be going in shortly

I've no probs with people looking and posting pictures of the car its good to know there's that much interest. the renault owners club featured it in there mag at xmas
