Time to start the Rebuild on " Mushy P"




Now it in all apart it look better than i had expected
The bad bits are one back wing,



The chassis will be a lot of work,All four corners will need panels,
the front cross member could be a challenge.
the new full cross member has no inner plate will that be something i will need to make ??

Thought I would get the body ready for refitting ,the chassis is on hold till the repair panels arrive.




The back door hinge had come of the roof ,luckily I had the old roof from a car so i could drill the hinge off and rebuild the roof corner.



Got the under coat on to day ,next step is to work out the difference with spraying Metallic paint.

when they said these cars are a easy restore choice, they weren't kidding,

just a shame i've lost mine under my fathers rubbish >.>

least some repair kits turned up, need to know how to weld now

Got some paint on body,this time I will refit the body back on chassi with the doors on before I paint the outside.
I think the car will be nice in the metallic green.

The front cross member is the next job,
Starting with a good strong jig to keep the chassi in place and the right place for the gearbox mounting.


The new outer cross member has not arrived yet but i have started making my new inner panel.

The chassi is now repaired and painted the rear axel has had all new bushes.



The body is now back on the chassi and the Dash back,
Time to build a Engine and gearbox.

The engine is back together and has gone back in,runs well .




Got the doors repaired and the inside painted.

The wings are now on and the bonnet has been painted on th inside.
Just the tailgate to repair and paint on the inside then I can look at painting the outside in one go.

Spent all my spare time in a local Body shop,Learning about new
products and the new way of preparing for painting.




Then I let the Body shop put the colour on.
