Hi Im restoring a 1965 R4 and im looking for clutch pressure springs as mine have lost tension, also is it easy to put a later diafram clutch and release bearing in its place?

You can fit the diaphragm clutch as factory did on the 4 speed cars, but you will need to replace flywheel and convert the carbon release bearing to ball bearing, or fit a front plate/release fork/bearing from an early 4-speed (334) gearbox. Clutch disc will not fit as the later ones have a 20-tooth hub, so you may either have to replace the input shaft or use an early pattern disc.
Springs can be found at any clutch reconditioning firm. I may be able to find a complete pressure plate assembly here, if you are interested.
