Renault 4 'A'Panels & Sill Repair

Dear Forum.

Does anyone know if repair panels are available for the following areas. My 1967 R4 although relatively good is showing signs of the dreaded rust and I cannot bear it any longer.

1) 'A' panels.

2) Upper section of sill just inside the rear door opening.

The A pillars (the triangular panels behind the front wing) should still be available from Renault. Aftermarket bits are also still available, but the quality and fit aren't as good (at least for the ones I've fitted in the past).

I don't think there is a repair section for the rear of the sill, although there might be one for the whole sill (way too much hassle to fit). I've welded in sections cut from scrap cars in the past. The section stays the same all the way along so it's possible to cut a bit out from under the door and use it at the rear. Otherwise making a repair section from scratch is an option.

Thanks for the advise clementine. I will take myself of to the local Renault dealer. Generally puts a smile on their faces when we turn up anyway.
