Hi all, new member seeking advice in keeping my old Renault on the road. I have an 82 Trafic T800 with a factory fitted 1.4 C1J engine with 4 speed box. Its incredibly underpowered ( about 48 hp ). My question is would a Gordini 1.4 turbo / atmo engine or similar with 5 speed box be a feasible transplant? I don't really want to change from 1.4 for insurance purposes. I just need the van to be able to cruise at 60/ 65 without too much struggle.
