I have what I think is an 850cc R4L. It goes and stops ok but the steering seems to be very loose/vague but it passed it's French CT (MOT).

Anybody got thoughts on this subject??

Also I need a drivers side rear door handle (lhd car) one of the cheap plastic ones with the chrome thumb push.

And finally, the front window catches appear to be stuck on the glass by glue, does anybody know what sort of glue and is it easily available??

All help/advice greatly appreciated.

Hello, welcome to the forum!

To check what sort of car yours is, have a look at the diamond or oval plate and engine plate codes on your car and look at the links from this post:

For the handle, depending on how urgently you need it, you could either put a 'Wanted' notice in the Renault 4 Parts area, or look at the list of suppliers.

Many thanx for all advice re engine numbers and glue. I am sure I will be back with other basic questions in due course.
Most enjoyable following the threads but is it really worthwhile having threads that date to 2004, I got really excited about a GTL about to be broken til I discovered the post was 5 years old!!
