The minimum weight of a 2022 F1 car is 798kg (with driver but no fuel).

A R4 GTL is 720kg with fuel (earlier cars are even lighter). The GTL without 34L of fuel would be 692kg. So as long as the driver is less than 106kg we're lighter than F1 cars! I think we get boasting rights.

To be fair they might have more than 34bhp.

Yeah but that's namby-pamby F1 horsepower, not proper R4 horsepower

Another interesting fact in comparing R4 vs F1 specs is the engines bhp. In theory a 1100 cc GTL engine could produce approx. 1100 bhp which is more than todays F1 engine.
This theoratical fact is based on the famous 4 cylinder 1500cc BMW M12 in 1986, the M12 was upgraded into the M12/13/1. (Bore 89.2 mm X Stroke 60 mm) 374.95 cc and 350 PS per cylinder 933.46 PS/litre This version was claimed to have produced a maximum output of 1,400–1,500 hp .

As FI by design are limited to super-smooth racetracks, you could say the R4 'reaches more places that other cars can only dream about!'

in addition we could take mother-in-law for a spin aswell -or Not..
-I would have liked to see that in a F1 !

Useful info, now we can compete in any F1 race without the fear of scrutineers rejecting our cars, since we know the exact mount of ballast weight to be added!

A 1.5 Renault EF engined 4..........
