Best sunroof for my Renault 4

Hello. I love my Renault. I don’t have a sunroof, but I really want to add one. Any ideas of where I could buy a black vinyl? I’m also looking for the plaid seat covers and panels. I like the Parisiense look with the outside door panels. Any idea where I could get these too? Thank you so much Marianne.

The easiest way is to find a sunroof from a 1st generation Twingo and have a competent car body shop fit it.

I have a factory sunroof on my R4, and it looks quite simple to make.

The canvas part itself is really easy to make. The pivoting frames and crossbars are doable but time consuming. The hardest part is the body aperture and its surroundings, I think. And of course, you have to find a sunroof equipped car to use it as a guide for dimensions etc. On the other hand, fitting the Twingo sunroof is just a matter of cutting, drilling and sealing.

For the basketweave, try a vinyl place. An added advantage is that later on you can easily remove it.
