Clio wipers won't park

My daughter's L reg Clio recently started to refuse to park the wipers. ie they stop wherever they are when you turn them off and do not return to the base of the windscreen automatically. The wiper motor works fine at both speeds. I was in a scrapyard getting another part yesterday, so picked up a Clio wiper motor anyway and fitted it. They still won't park. So either I have two motors with the same problem or the park switch isn't located in the wiper motor.

The Haynes manual is no help (no change there then). Anyone able to help?

Thanks

Not sure about what electrical magic the clio has, but older cars have a separate feed for the park circuit which is fused on a different fuse from the main feed.

Should check the manual for the appropriate fuse and look at that first.

And the Smarties go to Malcolm - you got it in one! Thanks for the tip.

I thought there would be a separate park switch in the motor (I'm sure there used to be on older British cars) which is what I assumed had failed. But yes the fuse had gone (apparently when she tried to use the wipers when they were frozen stuck to the screen.)
