my daughter is stationed in Italy, And had to purchase a car to get to and from work. She purchased a low miles 1998 renault, Ican't remember what model, but the picture looks alot like a camry. She has been having starting problems on and off. she took it in twice, But they don't see anything wrong with the battery, plugs wires, or generator/ altenator. It tries to turn over but can't. Not sure if she is flooding it or if it could be electrical, such asmaybe a computer chip beginning to short out. If this problem persist what if any, suggestions do you have. the car has a good background so I can't think that it would be that complicated.

It could be a Renault Laguna?

We really could do with the cars full details before trying to have a guess at anything wrong with it!

On older Renaults like that they have an immoboliser system in the key, you need to access the car with the remote control before it disarms the immobiliser, is this being done?

If you can't use the remote control to open the doors and disarm the system, then there is a way of disarming it manually, but you will need the four digit code that came with the car when new to do so, it was on a credit card sized piece of plastic, does she still have that card?
