how long a trailer?

This weekend I will be fetching our (present for my wife) first r4. It has no CT (french MOT)so I need a trailer.Can anyone tell me the distance between the front & back wheels please. I have been offered access to an ifor williams 10feet by 5feet 6inches. Is this big enough?

The saloon wheelbase is 2.45m (about 8' 1/2") and the total width of the body is 1.49m (4' 10"). Trailer should be more than big enough.

Are you planning to trailer all the way back from France?

I would just tow on a rigid bar I have towed cars up to 100km like that Provided you dont go on a motorway its OK
You can get a bar in Leclerc or Champion etc

If you are in Brittany there is a trailer hire place just outside Rennes on the N12 that does a really nice car transporter for 45 euros a day Although you need a 4 x 4 to tow it with
