What are people's choices for a new battery for my 86 reg 4 gtl.....not for getting the lip on bottom, gor retaining clamp ...thanks

I bought a new Varta B18 Blue Dynamite the other week, with the locating lip on the bottom and I used a universal clamp from Franzose.
It fits perfectly. Although it cost 110 Euros ! But with a guarantee for 2 years.

Varta batteries generally have a higher Ah rating than other brands, for a given size. They're therefore better on really cold mornings.

quite expensive...10 months ago I paid for it 60€/dynamic blue Varta-44Ah-440A (in Montenegro).
same 2 year warranty.

All car batteries have gone up in price this year for some reason, like most things.

That was a good price, for a quality battery. Although prices have gone up recently.
