I have to say that forum is great, and hole web site!
i am proud owner of two crashed renault 4 gtl.:D
from two R4 i'll make one modified..
i hope that i'll find answeres on my questions:wink:
 
Two crahed Renault 4s? You must live in Croatia or Slovenia. There aren't enough Renault 4 GTLs elsewhere in the world for you to have found two that have crashed.

What modifications are you planning to make? Perhaps making the cars go faster?
 
hehe, how did u guess that i live in croatia :)
my father bought 10 Renault 4, they were all crashed or had some problems
with engines.
my father fixed thme except two R4, that were too far demolitoined :(
one have passed ~155 000 km, and other ~210 000km.

i was even thinking of putting R5 1.6 engine in R4, but it will wait.
i was thinking of making buggy/wrangler or some sort of jeep..

No other country could have 2 crashed Renault 4s at the same time. I think they were made in Croatia and Columbia until 1992, but in the UK we could only buy Renault 4s until 1986.

The cars are becoming rare. We have maybe 200 left in the UK, so if 2 cars were to crash here it would be a disaster.

Your plans sound interesting. A 1.6 engine would make the r4 very fast.
 
i started some works, but there is a lot of things to be done,
someone stoled alternator from one renault 4, one empoyer.
but i have an other so it want be a problem.

i didnt know that R4 are so rare, evrey they i see at least 10 in city,
i dont know if they are gtl..

in newspapars lost of people are selling R4 gtl, some of them are in parts :(

They were made in Slovenia not Croatia ;) but we were all a part of Yugoslavia so they are still common around here.
 
true. they were made for farmers to put tools inside...
so lots of people are driving R4 in ex yugoslavia.
