I've just been messing around trying to get one of those little pictures next to my name. Can't do it, it keeps saying 'upload failed', despite the pictures I've tried falling well within the criteria specified.

That sounds just like me, I think this the only forum I've ever managed to get it to work on!

Easiest thing is to email me the picture. malcolm at renault 4 dot co dot uk (changed into an email address obviously) and I can add it. Would be useful info for me to find out why the forum isn't behaving as people expect it to.

I've loaded the picture. You might have been looking in the wrong section - the avatar needs to be a maximum of 80 pixels square and I don't think the forum will re-size it. See http://www.renault4.co.uk/forum/profile.php?do=editavatar

yes, I was looking in the wrong section, I was looking in edit profile, not edit avatar.
Avatar didn't actually mean anything to me until just now.
