plastic fan

I would like to dismantle the electric fan (the one on the 956/gtl radiator) to clean and paint the parts: how should I take away the plastic fan from its little engine?

usually there is a screw or bolt in the middle of the fan..it is a Lefty so turn it counterclockwise -R.

The metal in the middle of the fan is prefectly round, with no incisions for screwdrivers...

it might be a "push-on" type..try gently pushing in a screwdriver between fan and body. press outward a Little at the time going all around so you dont bend axle or crack plastic..

You are right, a bit of wd40 and a little hammering et voila!
