R4 van insurance

I was with Footman James for years. They were brilliant in 1998. They went downhill as they got bigger and I finally gave up on them about 3 years ago. I shopped around and found Peter James to be one of the easiest / friendliest to deal with, equal cheapest, with the best cover. I have a LHD 1967 Citroen van and 4 other classics on the same agreed value policy.
 
Mine's with Adrian Flux who i've been with for some years now and no problems, my F6 is 77.00 a year.
 
My renewal quote from RH insurance came through. Quite a big increase on last year which is disappointing - the take over may well be the difference.

I'll try the companies mentioned above. Anyone have other favourite insurers? Also has anyone ever insured against fire and theft only? I might take one or two of them off the road this year.
 
Malcolm, mines with Adrian Flux, and although it did rise but only by £1.50 to £78.50 fully comprehensive :clapping:
 
Over the years I've been with most of the well known companies but my motorbike is covered by Peter James, half the price of Bennetts, and used by most of my motorcycling cyber pals. I was shocked when I came to insure my Suzuki SuperCarry van. "Well Sir it IS a commercial vehicle" was the response. I had to mow an awful lot of lawns (at £12 and hour) to pay for that.
 
I went with Adrian Flux - £200 for 4 cars! Less than half the price of the renewal quote from RH.
