Renault 15 TL

Anyone have any experience owning a Renault 15? I'm considering this 1974 15 TL, in all its 1970s glory, including brown velour interior
1300cc engine from the R12, 4 speed box. Possibly too much car for the 1300 engine?
Interested in any thoughts or advice on this one.

Lovely looking car! I always loved the 15/17 range, a 1300 may be a little small these days, but its a car for fun, and the Renault engines always had more torque than others so it should drive reasonably well.


I keep tinkering with the idea of putting a larger engine in my 4l but I get 40Mpg and total reliability (if it ain't broke I aint fixing it!)

Well, the car drives beautifully and is in amazing original condition. Seriously tempted ... but need to sleep on it. Lack of storage space! Photo taken after a test drive this afternoon, with my mini in the background.
