Renault Estafette

Whilst i have sold the R4 (to a German chap who drove it back home!) i may not be lost to the Renault cause: does anyone have any experience of owning an Estafette? I think the high tops are just about high enough to stand up in, to use as a camper, but they've only got 1300cc's at best, so are probably pretty noisy, and what about handling?

I think it is a great idea. I think they have that unique french classic look and practicality. Somewhere on the web, possibly youtube, if I remember rightly, is a short film on a gathering of estafette campers somewhere on the continent. Although a little on the small size, and the cab and controls look incredibly simple, they obviously have a dedicated following. I recommend looking on French ebay for a suitable van, as there are usually a few about. However they are going up in price as they become more rare.
