What do I do? "Take the head off and do it correctly...."
The one bad bad thing is the our head is heavily to take off, a lot of work... :(
p.s. on my red 4, older..

If thread damage is not too bad you can get a M14x1.25 tap and clean the thread. Dip the tap in grease beforehand and all chips will stick on the tap like magic.
If damage is severe, you have to fit a special solid thread insert, not Heli-Coil. But it's still doable with head on car.
Here, there are people specialized in on-car thread repair and they can do this job for something like 70 euros, cheaper for sure than removing and refitting the head.

Hi all, I did use a Helicoil threaded insert which screwed into the hole and then screwed in a sparkplug as before. It was with an original Fiat 500, and repaired it and I did another 60k miles and sold the car and it was still working perfectly.

done with M14x1.25 tap, without Helicoil.. paid less than i expected, 30€.
2 previous years i have leak in that cylinder, loss of compression... result: poor performance..
I couldn't figure out what was going on with the Cleon, was disappointed ..
Now he's a dragon again! :flame:
