Torsion bar sleeves - where to get

Does anyone know where one can get the protective rubber sleeves that go over the torsion bars?

I see Franzose have the torsion bars themselves in their catalogue but that's a rather expensive way to get the rubbery bits!

They are NLA for a long time...
Search around for heat shrink tube (usually at industrial electrics suppliers). You are looking for the thick one with glue on the inside. I have tried 3M and it is very nice.
Get the largest diameter that will shrink to your torsion bar's diameter, in this way sleeve thickness when fitted will be maximum. It's simply a matter of cutting it to the right length, slipping it over the bar and heating it uniformly with a hot air gun. If you want to be 100% correct you can cut short pieces of rubber tubing and place them in the middle of the front bars, over the heat shrink tube. Just like when it left Billancourt!

Thanks Angel, I wouldn't have thought of that idea. I've been looking for rubber tube but no-one has any that thin walled.
