Unlucky Wishbone...

Hey guys!! New to the forum...I have just bought a 1984 F4..My front, passenger side, upper wish bone has alot of play coming from it, i have looked and it is not the bushes, but a pin/steel tube that sits in-between the bushes, going through the chassis (the tube the long bolt goes through)...There is mental amounts of play and was wondering how can i sort this out!!!???

It is left hand drive (because I live in France)

Any help would be much appreciated...

Hi Joe, it sounds like it should be the bushes because that is what usually goes - does the car also feel very unstable if you put weight in the back ? It is quite easy to check/change and not expensive. I would undo the top ball joint , withdraw the long bolt and have a closer look. If you want a more detailed explanation let us know.
