New renault owner in Cornwall

Hi all. I've just got my 1st Renault 4. He's a 1979 TL in Paris blue. He has 10 months MOT and runs really well. The chassis seems solid and I have a whole bundle of spares that came with him. However, he does look a bit tatty. Although I quite like the "Shed Chic" image, I will be trawling the forums looking for advice and panels. So look out for me and remember, if I ask a dumb question, I am new to all this.

Welcome. Ask as many dumb questions as you like. The Haynes manual is good for 850cc cars so that's well worth having. A lot of parts are available new, and often also second hand if you ask on the forum.

Well worth a bit of paint and sealant on that drain channel at the back of the roof - they are a pain to repair so best to preserve them as well as possible.

Nice to have another owner this side of the Tamar! My R4 is currently having a light chassis restoration which is taking months longer than planned but I hope to join the roads in the new year.

Was your R4 the one from Exeter on eBay? If so looks like you got a good deal.
