Fuel!

Having problems getting my F6 started after a while, I dont seem to be able to get fuel to the pump, the tank has been cleaned, the sender changed just now, the fuel lines (both to pump and return line ) blown through with air, tried with petrol cap off , caps on ( various, original and two locking) , any further advice welcome, I am currently scratching my head confused…

Hi Ian
Any issues with the tank vent hose?
Does the fuel pump work okay if you connect it to a fuel hose going to a jerrycan?

Thanks Andy, will look at breather, did check into tank but not the other way to cap, it the only thing I can think I’ve overlooked.

Have you sorted the problem?
Vacuum problem that Andy describes are easy to check, when opening fuel cap there should not be any suction sound.
If not check that fuel pump generates vacuum on suction side. Before i cleaned the fuel tank on the GreenOne the mesh on the pump suction side got clogged
Report back how it solves.

Update is ‘schoolboy error’!, had the pump out before changing sender erc., sender was blocked, when I reinstalled fuel pump I reversed the feed and return to pump

Nice that it sorted.
Good with sharing “mistakes “ as well though the forum, cos you wasn’t the first and definitely not the last mixing feed and return.
