Haven't posted any photos before but I'm getting close to finishing the back end apart from prep/paint. Managed to get some body schutz on the weekend. I've lost my strip down photos so couldn't remember the correct way the fuel pipe was mounted over the rear suspension (think it was on a plate which Ive lost) so I've just used a P clip to the body. I've since added a small ally plate over it to stop any crud or stones etc damaging it. Bit the bullet and bought a new Towbar, although have no idea what I plan to be towing but least I'll have something to walk into for the next few months. I must have spent 3 hours fettling & messing with the one rear wing which I finally got fitted (not shown) back to the front end next. I've had the bonnet chemically dipped/stripped there's quite a few dents that need straightening out. The front wings also need work and I need to blend the front A pillar sections in that I've replaced.

Found myself with some time in recent months so managed to progress the car. Been on the go for 2 years or so but finally got some paint on. Lots left to do but always good when they're going back together. Cracked the screen taking it out realised after there's an insert in the rubber which would have released the pressure. 20250730_142127.jpg20250806_172010.jpg20250808_190501.jpgHad a spare fortunately I picked up recently albeit non laminated

Wheel day yesterday finally got some rubber on these after being in the shed for 2 years, std wheels also in for a refurb. Was a happy boy until I looked in the garage and found my recently painted car on the floor. My own fault too lazy to use the stands but Im still not sure how it managed to go over. Lesson learnt anyway and no damage done 20251002_124127.jpgScreenshot_20251003_190250_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20251003_190228_Gallery.jpg

Maybe it slipped just to give you a retrospective/reflective 2nd photo of what a nice job you have done on the bodywork and paint so far, before the final fit and polish….bit of no harm drama, believe its good for the blood circulation in small doses!

A Quote from the 1963"Motoring Which" report on the Renault 4l mentioned "the alarming angles the car's suspension produced when cornering hard"....maybe your car felt the need to relive the experience......?
