    Running iffy again

Given the levels of ethanol now in the petrol (and probably increasing), it may be worth checking that you have good modern fuel hoses. Cohline 2240 fuel hose is impervious to the stuff and recommended by some other classic car nerds. I use it, and it's good stuff but not the cheapest...

    Coolant/antifreeze

Antifreeze is indeed an anti-corrosive as well, so highly recommended. I think the modern OAT stuff attacks some of the metals that are in the old cooling systems, not 100% sure, but it's not recommended for some reason :dontknow:.

    Coolant/antifreeze

Older cars usually favour blue antifreeze 50% with water as far as I know - not the modern OAT pink/purple/red stuff.

    Tyre Pressures

Just be aware of the tread wear pattern over a longer term; assuming wheel alignment and suspension are ok, excess wear in the middle of the tyre can indicate over-inflation and excess wear on both outer edges can indicate under-inflation. Crazy driving can also wear tyres out in unusual ways...

    Engine noise

Although very young in miles, your car is old in time and the timing chain tensioner could have stuck, leading to a rattling chain without enough tension. Not sure what engine you have, but my 1983 1.1 had a stuck oil-pressure-actuated tensioner - sludged up. Unfortunately engine-out is the...

Every time I shut the door on my Scimitar GTE (still being rebuilt) I get a similar covering of crud on the driveway beneath  Some way to go for both of us I think :drunk: Currently rewiring headlights and replacing duct-tape-repaired petrol hoses :scared:

    Sticking clutch- any tips

Is the cable stuck or the clutch stuck inside the gearbox? If pressing the pedal doesn't move the cable at the gearbox end at all, them perhaps the cable has rusted in the sheath.
