Interresting since Renault 4's were only produced till 1992 (and in small numbers in slovenia till 1994). You're probably the lucky bastard that they produced just that one extra for in 1995!

Certainly doesn't help... My current chassis also has the dips and I haven't been able to figure out what they're for. They do however give you a good opportunity to get your fuelline to your fueltank without having to drill holes in your chassis legs.

The work you're doing on the chassis is GREAT Petak! Really nice to see. Are you still going to post some detail pictures of all the smaller new parts you welded into the chassis? This is definitely going to be a really neat chassis!

To be honest, restoring an R4 isn't worth it financially either. A really good GTL like mine is maybe worth 6000 euro's, that is, if you find the ideal buyer, who doesn't mind paying the money. If not, you're more likely to end up getting about 5000 euro's for it. Looking at the amount of time...

Thanks for all the great comments! Those make it all worthwile, also the comments you get when you're just driving it or just ready to drive away and somebody stops by to say what a great car you have, that's really awesome. But the best thing of course is to just drive it and to not be able to...

Hey people, It's been a long time since you heard from me, so time for some updating. The car is finished and has an MOT (called APK in the Netherlands). Actually it has been ready for almost 2 months I think. I did a lot of adjusting etc. to it since then. I changed my Femsa distributor...

I think in combination with those mud-tires, this looks pretty awesome! Although your F6 looks a little "narrow" when it's so high on its wheels on the front. A friend of mine has an F6 too and his car is way lower on its wheels in the front.

I used special glass-glue, needs UV-light for hardening. So far so good, did a catcher and the rearviewmirror with it. Think it was this one: click. Like angel says: you need to sand the catcher-metal down with some sandpaper and clean both parts really well.
