Oh, about any sulotion to the problem ... I think you best wait till the paint dries, then clean the surface really well with some degreaser/silicone remover, then sand the area down again so you remove all the contamination and then respray it.

Hey Alexandre, that looks an awful lot like silicone contamination! The dots in paint that are caused by silicone contamination are often referred to as "fisheyes". Those are caused by silicone on the surface that you want to paint. The paint doesn't attach to silicone and it actually repulsed...

The rustol is 1 component paint, based on terpentine. I guess the primer you want to use is a 2k (2pack) paint. In any way, you should never apply 2k over 1k paint. Best thing is probably to remove the rustol again when the weather is better and then make the metal totally bare (remove all...

The side that sticks in your gearbox doesn't need grease on it. Ofcourse you can just make it a little greasy to keep it from rusting. Also, those sides are within your enginebay and not really in the position to catch a lot of mud.
