2 yellow R4's in France

We passed two yellow R4's in Villeneuve sur Lot today. (with much waving and flashing of lights). They looked like they were touring together. Very noticeable as they were both the same yellow colour.
Wish I had my camera handy; the set of fog lights mounted on the front looked really good! Made them look like rally cars.
Anyone you know touring the SW of France?
 
It is the start of the 4L Trophy and all the kids are meeting up for the drive to the ferry.

On saturday they all met in Toulouse.
 
Thanks! The 2 cars really looked good together. It's always a thrill to see another R4 in town, so 2 the same colour was amazing!
Is there any way that I can follow the rally? A website perhaps?

Although having done the rally myself, the most stressful and intense part of the journey was just getting to the start line! Many will already have serious mechanical or administrative problems at the last minute.

There is a participants group on facebook where all this is happening at the moment and it's a very highly-strung place with the scrutineering taking place tomorrow morning.

Some of today's most popular questions:
"I left my passport in a service station on the other side of France"
"Who wants to join my convoy?"
"Where will we sleep tonight?"
"Where will we drink tonight?"
"Has anyone got a spare fan/light/fuel pump/speedo cable/distress flares/skid plates/wheels/bearings/radiator/conrod/4L I can buy/borrow for the rally?"
"Where actually is the start of the rally?"

Amazingly most of these crazy questions are getting positive responses!
 
My son is planning on doing it, probably 2 years time (need to finish off all our other projects first). Then we plan to use the car for the Baby Boomers or something similar for oldies.

His friend is doing it this year. (This was in Toulouse Capitol)

Hi Tom, I'm sure after watching, its brought back a lot of memories of your trip to Morocco last year. Its an experience which will stay with you for the rest of your life.
I have the sudden urge to go out and give my car a wash and polish!!
 
Just wait for another 2 to 3 weeks and Le Bon Coin will be full of beaten up little 4L Trophy veteran cars.
