Hi

The front window latch has come adrift on my R4. It looks like it just glues on the glass but what is best product that is ideally clear to stick it back on?

Thanks

Hi

My preferred adhesive for this job is Araldite standard. Make sure you remove all the old glue from the glass and metal backing to the window latch and abrade surface of metal. Apply glue, secure with masking tape and leave for 24 hours to harden completely, avoid any movement during this period, even vibration from running engine and you should then have a solidly affixed latch.

I hope this helps.

Hi Nick, Loctite 319 interior mirror adhesive works well, it sets in seconds, and is at full strength within 30 minutes.

I found the window catch issue solved finally by using some Crystal Epoxy glue - such as in the photo. Was still attached after more than a year. Not as invisible as the superglue, but it does work - unlike the others.
