Speedlines are these, but I'm after a set of Fergats which were the steel wheels on the R5 Alpine in France and are deep dish already! Lobster has a set on his van and they look ace!
Speedlines look like these!
Oh and if you just want to band your original wheels then there are places that can do it no problems. Here's one such firm.
I am also looking for a set of 5Gordini Atmo wheels in reasonable condition.
With or without tyres not important I unless they are in first class condition I would intend to refurbish.
Sorry but I'm keeping my Fergs. One of the Fergats on the GTL is actually the spare from the F6 which could do with going back with the F6 rather than not having a spare.
Quite like the idea of having the GTL steels banded but £330 is a bit salty really.
The costs are a "little" on the expensive side! But hey it's only 1 link and I've found that even getting a set of wheels shot blasted can cost over £100!
The perspective of our cars not being that expensive compared to the repair or upgrade costs is always going to be a little skewed!
As an aside my daughter just had to have a new diesel fuel injector for her 2006 Ford S Max and that was £600 then another £200 for the fitting.
my company has a paint shop :P so guess i'm a tad lucky there ^.^ and can get parts power coated for a bottle of whisky (but there are a LOT of downsides to this thou)
and why are Fergats liked over the GTL's? just looks?
Here's Lobsters and Dereks vans with the Fergats on. (Me I prefer them in the Black and White flavour)
I suppose its a 70's rostyle kind of thing I've got going on. Besides which Judith can't stand my Alpine Atmo wheels and you know that wimmen are always right!
