Hi I have some front and rear lens on which the orange has faded / vanished. Is it possible to refurbish by painting and if so which type of paint? I could of course just fit orange bulbs but these will look wrong.

I use clear orange modelling paint (Humbrol reference 1322 - available from other brands, too) and it works really well. It's a bit thin though and needs careful brushing in many layers in order to avoid darker areas caused by too much paint.

there is also a special paint acavaiable from Holts(?) and others. to paint on the bulb itself-this paint does not crack over time
you just need a tiny amount on top of the glassbulb,so little as it is not noticeable from outside when not flashing...... -R.
