All locks are the same, but there are two types fitted: screw-on (the glass is drilled) and glued on. Components between types are not interchangeable.
Because the earlier screw-on locks are more robust, it's rather common to fit earlier drilled front sliding glasses on later cars while keeping the rear glasses with glued-on locks.
