Hey there Renault people, my inside fan hast stopped working.
I just had the dash apart and now it isn't working anymore.
I checked the fuse, that's not it. I checked all the connectors I unplugged but can't find anything. My main suspicion would be the connectors right of the speedo, below the hazard light switch, since I had those unplugged. Apparently of those 3 only two have wire running to them?
I tried switching those around to no avail. Any suggestions?
Regards

Hi

I often find that the culprit with the heater motor is a loose connection or faulty cable. Especially, in your case when it was working ok before you removed the dash. Check all the wiring from the negative and positive connectors on the motor itself up the switch and then from there up to the grey block connector located on the underside of the steering. In the past, I have come across loose connectors, stretched or split positive and negative cables which run from the motor to the switch, they can get caught up in the motor when on and chafe/get cut. Those two speed switches are not very reliable and burn out easily. I have replaced mine with a one speed toggle switch. If you can trace no fault up to the grey block connector then when you pulled out the dash you probably dislodged a cable beyond this point.

I need to apologize. It actually was the switch. At the time of me checking there was no visible defect but I diagnosed it further and bridging the switch made everything work as intended.
I will replace it with a 2 position switch.
Indeed no need to apologize, it's like @Andy McGhee and I wrote 99 out of 100 it's the switch fault ;)
